Through the effective introduction of Tempus Pro, users can make considerable savings that will,
in a very short space of time, more than recoup the
initial cost of purchase. These savings generated
can be summarised as follows:
Recording of time/expenses
Using Tempus Pro eliminates any need to use
paper in your time recording cycle. This reduces the
inordinate amount of time that is wasted by staff
recording and collating their time entries over a
given week. In an organisation of 25 fee earning staff,
this cost can be nearly €1,000 per week.
Tempus Pro solution
Through the introduction of Tempus Pro, users
can access their timesheets at all times of the day
or night. Users no longer need to calculate or collate
their timesheets resulting in considerable time savings
which can then be spent on productive work. i.e. chargeable
time. The cost savings compared to the paper timesheet
are nearly € 1,000 per month.
However, more importantly the time saved by using
the Tempus Pro solution can now be used for chargeable
projects. Based on a chargeout rate of €160 per
hour this would amount to additional chargeable time
worth in excess of €50,000.
Additional productivity
Employees do not like completing timesheets. This
is a fact of life in many organizations that is difficult
to overcome. Invariably, employees will leave their
time recording until the end of the working day, or
worse still, the end of the working week. As employees
look to account for the requisite number of hours
for that day or week, it is inevitable that an element
of what we call "admin padding" will creep in. This
is where the employee can no longer recall exactly
what they did and in order to complete their timesheet,
assigns the unaccounted number of hours to Administration
or another non-chargeable account. It is our experience
that the time lost to "admin padding" can be up to
10% per employee.
Tempus Pro has been developed so as to encourage
timesheet users to record time throughout the day
through an intuitive and easy to use time/expense
entry screen which is always available to the user
whether they are at their desktop in the office, out
on site with their client or even at home.
Tempus Pro also provides a number of standard
features within its solution to encourage employees
to focus on chargeable rather than non-chargeable/unavailable
time. By focusing their attention on the value of
chargeable time, the inevitable result is an increase
in staff productivity readily measured from within
the program.
Through a combination of the above, users can expect
to increase productivity by as much as 10% within
months of introducing our tried and trusted solution.
In our 25 fee earners company referred to above,
an increase of productivity can lead to additional
revenue in excess of € 100,000.
Additional Recovery
With staff accurately recording time and expenses,
and now able to record detailed notes against each
time entry, partners/managers are in a position to
readily identify time spent on activities not budgeted
for or agreed with the client. With this type of information
to hand, clients can be pursued for additional fees,
where appropriate, thus further increasing recovery.
Using the same 25 fee earner company, increasing
recovery by as little as 2% can result in additional
fees of nearly € 100,000 being recovered.
