Orchard Information Systems are the UK’s leading independent provider of software for the public and social housing sectors. With over 30 years’ experience they offer a range of tailored solutions for the housing sector which is the result of continual investment in software development to meet the needs of the social housing sector.


Within their own business however, a series of legacy systems and bespoke software was used across a number of departments to track time and expenses on their projects. They needed better control and visibility from a web-based system which would allow them to control internal staff as well as sub-contractors and link to a number of internal systems. Staff planning and the ability to monitor productivity were also key requirements.

In March 2010 after extensive trialling of Sage Coretime Orchard went live with a 135 user system. Some 2 years later, they have now increased licence numbers to 175 users as their business continues to grow. With additional modules for Task Management and Staff Planning they are benefiting from using the full functionality of Sage Coretime to manage complex projects. Their previously disparate systems have been replaced by Sage Coretime giving access to real-time data, better budgetary control and robust approval processes.
